The origins
Area’s historical development
For centuries one of the peripheral belt municipality with a strong agricultural vocation, it became between 1700 and 1800 the country residence of some noble landowners. The presence of the manufacturing industry in the early twentieth century led to the creation of building cooperatives and to the residential transformation, with the industrial decline that occurred in the 1970s. The fields and gardens are now found in the nearby Parco Nord, which surrounds the area with its greenery
